Bast
is the one of the main
Egyptian Goddess. She is
believed to protect women and
children as well as her beloved
cats.
She
is known as a Goddess of joy and
laughter. Like the cats the rules
and protects she is both dignified
and playful. Black onyx is sacred
to Bast. Her ancient statues were
frequently carved from black onyx.
